  1. I want to get the pebble for my 7 year old. I need something with alerts or a way for me to text her when i’m at work and she’s in afterschool/camp activities. What apps would you recommend?

    1. Yes, the Pebble would be fine for this and for a 7 year old I would recommend going for one of the more basic (cheaper Pebble models). Do be aware that your child must also have an Android or iOS phone with them for the Pebble to display notifications. While the Pebble will work perfectly with native messaging apps on both Android and iOS phones, I would also recommend WhatsApp. I use WhatsApp for most of my own messaging these days and i find it more reliable (as long as both phones have an internet connection) seamless with the Pebble. Best of luck Eli!

  2. I want a watch that can prompt my child to do things but without having a phone to link to. Any ideas ?

    1. I think your best bet is probably going to be the ‘ VTech Kidizoom Smartwatch’. It doesn’t require a phone connection like most other smartwatches. While that does limit communication options, you can certainly set alarms to prompt your child to do certain things.

    2. I just stumbled across this neat kickstarter (fully funded now) that has moved into development phase. They won’t be available until March 17th but the product might be what you are looking for. I’m actually ordering one right now for my toddler. I think it will aid her with learning time and prompting her when it’s time to get ready for her various activities (swim school, naps, etc.).
