Ah, yes the baby swing! A must-have on the baby shower registry list for new parents. It’s a fact, no matter how good your intentions, you cannot have baby swaddled around you or ‘kangaroo-pouching’ all day. The reality is life goes on, and no matter how much this little being has rocked your world, you’re going to need something to rock him or her when you can’t.
There are several types of swings available; the full size, the portable and the hybrid. Some parents opt for the full size and portable, especially if they do a lot of visiting or traveling. The portable swings are also great to leave at grandparents’ or family members you visit often.
Then there’s the hybrid. As the name suggests, it’s a combination of a swing, bouncer and glider. These are a popular choice because of all the features and their versatility but they can be quite costly and aren’t necessarily ideal as a portable or traveling swing because of its weight. There are six gliding speeds and a 2-speed vibration setting which you can adjust, depending on your baby’s mood.
